Hiking Trip Summary

 

The club had another fantastic adventure weekend with our Dobes in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! 
Since we enjoyed ourselves so much last year, we returned to the cozy mountain cabins at Crabtree Falls…just west of Charlottesville, VA.  This year, we had enough members and their Dobes to accommodate 2 cabins!  During the day, we hiked the Appalachian Trail and the Falls Trail.  The Dobes were obedient and courteous trail hikers.  They attracted much attention and compliments from other hikers.  After a full day of hiking, the Dobes settled in for a long restful nap while we filled ourselves with food, fun, and wine.  Although the evenings were crisp, we kept warm and entertained by the blazing campfire out behind the cabin.  We all had such a good time that we decided this will become an annual outing for the club and our more than willing and eager Dobes!
